Export Shipment Dispatcher

Our Hamburg, NY office is hiring for an Export Shipment Dispatcher. This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer responsible for the planning & booking of export loads.

Export Shipment Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Arrange details of shipments, secure ocean space in coordination with trucking capacity as necessary for export loads.
• Ensure all details of booking meet both the customer and supplier requirements.
• Accurately enter details into the system.
• Assist and or handle any issues that may occur throughout the export process with the carriers involved.
• Work with Sales and the Documentation team when needed.
• Work with Freight Forwarders to assist if necessary.

Export Shipment Dispatcher Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• At least 1 year of experience in Logistics
• Computer skills in Excel, Word & Outlook. SAP experience preferred
• Ability to Multi-Task and thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple assignments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have a sense of urgency on all matters
